MISSION
SSC Tacloban Extension Service commits itself to provide the adopted communities and the different sectors of the college the opportunities to develop and enhance social and spiritual well-being through ORA et LABORA (pray and work) in all its outreach activities.
OBJECTIVES
To provide opportunities for Administrators, Faculty, Students, Staff and Maintenance Personnel to reach out and share their time, talents, material and spiritual blessings to the less-fortunate in the spirit of community volunteerism and Christian love.

Guidelines for the Outreach Activity
- All organizations are required to generate outreach activities throughout the year.
- The outreach Coordinator must coordinate all outreach activities with the Head of Students Affairs.
- Adopted Communities must be maintained by succeeding organization members.
- The Moderator and the officers of the organization are required to attend the Outreach Orientation.
COMMUNITY EXTENSION ACTIVITIES
PALO, Leyte - On December 13, 2025, St. Scholasticaโs College Tacloban, Inc. conducted an institutional outreach program in Brgy. Candahug, Palo, Leyte. Inspired by the theme โWaiting for the Coming of Jesus: A Hope and Light to the Worldโ, the activity aimed to give thanks and celebrate the true spirit of Christmas through love, service, and generosity.
In the spirit of sharing, goods were distributed to families and gift boxes containing school necessities were also given to children of Candahug. A program also aimed to bring joy to the children of Candahug through engaging activities that promote laughter, friendship, and a sense of belonging. Finally, champorado prepared by the school was shared with the attendees, bringing comfort and smiles to those in attendance.

SILAGO, Southern Leyte โ St. Scholasticaโs College Tacloban, Inc. (SSCTI) conducted a community outreach activity in Barangay Sudmon, Silago, benefiting 180 families and providing both material assistance and moral support to the residents last December 17, 2025.
The initiative distributed family food packs containing rice, canned goods, noodles, milk, among others. St. Benedict Medal pendants were also given to beneficiaries as part of the activity.
In a message posted on Facebook after the event, the municipal government, headed by Silago Mayor Lemuel Honor expressed appreciation to SSCTI for organizing the outreach, noting its contribution to addressing the immediate needs of families in the barangay, which was most recently affected by the onslaught of several typhoons, among them Typhoon Tino which made landfall at the municipality.

The activity was spearheaded by SSCTI officials led by President Sr. Mary Frances F. Dizon, OSB, with the support of Sr. Mary Ignatius C. Aquino, OSB, Quality Assurance Specialist; Sr. Eliza N. Arpon, OSB, Head of Community Extension Services; and Dr. Wilfredo S. Israel, Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs. Faculty members, staff, and students also participated in the preparation and distribution of goods.
The outreach forms part of SSCTIโs Community Extension Officeโs many programs which aim to strengthen engagement with communities through service-oriented initiatives.
